These hoses act as pathways for a warm propylene glycol mixture to flow through. To boost the system’s efficiency, a polyvapor layer covers the soil, and insulating covers wrap the hoses, creating a contained space that focuses warmth directly onto the ground.
Within this setup, the heat is generated by dual coil heaters, which heat the propylene glycol solution in a tank up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. This warm solution is then propelled through the hose network, aiding in melting the ice in the soil. After circulating, the glycol solution returns to the tank to be reheated, ensuring a consistent cycle of warmth.
